Kansas Legislature Overrides Governor’s Veto to Protect Women’s Sports from Biological Male Participation

#STANDINTHEGAP

4/5/2023 – After two previous vetoes (2021 and 2022) by Kansas Governor Laura Kelly, the Kansas Legislature obtained the needed 2/3 of the house votes to override the Governor’s veto of HB 2238 which prohibits biological males from competing in female athletics for K-12 and collegiate level.  Girls and women’s sports have been protected by persisting and standing in the gap.  Kansas is the 20th state that has enacted laws to protect women’s sports.
