John Tigges, concerned citizen of Loudon County Virginia, was “one of over 700 citizens who showed up the June 22 School Board meeting to express their concerns on a variety of issues including transgender policy 8040, COVID mandates, critical race theory, and the recent firing of teacher Tanner Cross”. He and a father were arrested when they continued to try and speak their concerns to the board. He fought and won the case after a long battle, which was a win for parents speaking up to school boards, a preservation of First Amendment rights, protest and assembly.
